As I had read on this forum, I turned my rear wheels around on my 4100 last weekend. These mothers are heavy when ballasted! Anyway, it was amazing how much wider the stance is. I have turf tires. From my measurements, it looks like I picked up almost 4" total between the rear wheels. This should help a great deal when I have an implement, such as my rotary spreader on the 3 Pt hitch as well as aiding stability. Thanks to everyone who posted about this. It would be nice if the dealer told me about this. This is especially true since my tractor had Ag tires on the lot and they had to switch them out for Turfs and ballast them anyway.

After reading the posts here about reversing the wheels, I measured the rims on my 4100 with R4 industrial tires. The book says that they are one position, non-reversable, but guess what? The rims have about 1.75" of offset. Jacked the tractor up and swapped the tires right for left because of the directional tread and gained close to 4" more width between the tires! Sure makes hooking up 3-point implements a lot easier, and the tractor feels a bit more stable at the same time. ....

Harry, I too reversed the whells on my 4100 with R4 tires and got considerably more clearance. I too was puzzled by the book saying they aren't reverseable. My dealer came out to the house and actually helped me do this. ....
